Iranian photographer wins top prize of Argentine club

TEHRAN -- Iranian photographer Hossein Fatemi grabbed the gold medal for photojournalism section at the 2nd Salón Internacional de Imagen Virtual Foto Club Quilmes 2009 in Argentina.
Fatemi won the PSA (Photographic Society of America) Gold Medal for Photojournalism and two PSA Photojournalism Honorable Mentions.Works by Iranian photographers Mohammad Tavakkoli and Qasem Qasemi were also accepted for the section.
A selection of 24 photos by the Iran Photo Club members including Arash Hamidi, Amin Talachian, and Hossein Mosaferi were submitted to the contest.
The PSA Gold Medal for Nature went to Aanval Jackhals from Belgium. The PSA Gold Medal for Color went to Chan Kwok Hung Gary from Hong Kong, and the PSA Gold Medal for Travel went to Tran Huu Tri from France.
PSA and FIAP (Fédération Internationale de l’Art Photographique) are among the cosponsors of the event.
