Tehran halls busy with onstage plays in June

TEHRAN -- Tehran’s City Theater Complex, Sangelaj Theater Hall and Molavi Hall are home to several plays these days in June.
“Mynah” written by Mohammad Ebrahimian and directed by Tajbakhsh Fanaiian is currently on stage at the main hall of the City Theater Complex. The music is composed by Emad Tohidi and actor and singer Reza Ruygari sings in some parts of the play.The play narrates the life of the Persian poet Rudaki (858-941). Kazem Baluchi, Akram Mohammadi, Ardalan Shoja-Kaveh and Nima Raisi are among the cast members.
“Home” by writer Naghmeh Raisi and director Kiumars Moradi is also on stage at the Qashqaii Hall of the City Theater Complex. It narrates the story of Hamun who is missing and his family members are trying to find him. Every body tries to remember when and where he has last seen Hamun.
The cast includes Payam Dehkordi, Mehdi Soltani, Hedayat Hashemi, Negar Abedi, Setareh Pesyani, Nazgol Nadian, and Mohsen Rastegar.
Sayeh Hall of the City Theater will be hosting the play “Wedding in the Shadow” by writer and director Ali Abedi on Tuesday. The play is about a soldier who is getting prepared for the future world war.
Amir Karbalaizadeh, Vahid Aqapur, Sara Farzadfar, Nushin Tabrizi and Parastu Karami are among the cast.
“Everything about Mr. F” by Writer and director Arash Abbasi is on stage at the venue of the workshop of the complex. Ahmad Mehranfar is the sole actor.
Molavi Theater Hall is home to the play “On the Rails of the War” by director Kheirollah Taqiyanipur and Javad Nuri, which will be onstage until Friday. The play is written in seven episodes and features a writer who forms several war stories in his mind and in each episode one of the stories comes true.
The main hall of Molavi is hosting two plays; “Terminal” by Siamak Ehsaii and “The Sky of Snowy Days” by Mohammad Charmshir.
Fatemeh Motamed-Arya, Shabnam Moqadami and Pantea Panahiha are the cast members of the play.
“The Sky of Snowy Days” also features Negar Abedi and Hasan Majuni.
The play “There Is No News in Charsu” by director Hasan Bastani goes on stage daily at the Sangelaj Hall. Atabak Naderi, Nushin Tabrizi, Atash Taqipur Fariba Khademi, and Hesameddin Tavakoli act in this play.
“We, Helpless” by director Hamidreza Azarang and Nima Dehqan is on stage at the Chaharsu Hall of the complex. Shabnam Moqadami, Shahram Haqiqatdust, Puneh Abdolkarimzadeh, Roya Mirelmi, and Azar Kharazmi are among the cast members.
