Directors of Indian, Turkish filmfests to attend Kish festival

TEHRAN -- The directors of Indian and Turkish film festivals will be the guests of honor at the Kish International Film Festival which will be held from April 24 to 28.
The Director of Ankara International Film Festival Can Ozgun and the Artistic Director of the 14th International Film Festival of Kerala Bina Paul Venugopal will attend the festival.In an interview with media, Ozgun asserted that the artists do a task which politicians can not do. He said that filmmakers have crucial role in the promotion of humanistic values.
Over 700 films have been submitted to the festival by filmmakers from India, Turkey, Azerbaijan Republic, Armenian Republic, Russia, Great Britain, Canada, South Korea, Japan, France and several other countries.
Organizers of the festival have established the Grand Prophet (S) Award, which will be presented to a film promoting Muslim unity.
