TEHRAN – Judiciary spokesperson Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Ejei said on Monday that rulings have been issued for the convicts who had been involved in the Tehran University dormitory incident.

On June 15, 2009, a group of unidentified people illegally entered the University of Tehran dormitory, beat a number of students, damaged their property, and detained some of them.
Mohseni-Ejei said out of fifty convicted people, forty of them have either received prison sentence or fined, adding the case has been closed.
Sarah Shourd’s hearing will be held on Wednesday
The spokesperson also said the court hearing of Sarah Shourd, one of three U.S. hikers arrested by Iran in 2009 on espionage charges, will be held on Wednesday whether she attends the court or not.
Sarah Shourd, Shane Bauer, and Joshua Fattal were arrested on July 31, 2009 by border guards after illegally entering Iran’s territory from Iraq’s Kurdistan region. The three have been charged with illegal entry and espionage.
The trial session of three U.S. citizens was held on February 6, but Shourd, who was released from prison on bail of $500,000 on September 14, 2010, did not attend the trial
