Iran’s freestyle junior wrestlers finish 4th in Asia

JAKARTA, Indonesia, June 12 (MNA) -- Iran’s freestyle wrestling team finished at fourth place in the 2011 Junior Asian Championship on Sunday.

Iran that participated in the competition as a former champion claimed three gold medals, two silver and one bronze medals and scored 60 points in the competition held in Jakarta, Indonesia.
Alireza Hatami in the 50kg class, Hamed Talebi Zarrinkamar in the 96kg and Jaber Sadeghzadeh in the 120kg claimed three gold medals.
Mohammad Tahmasbizadeh in the 55kg and Amir Mohammadi in the 84kg won silvers and Erfan Hossein Yazdi in the 60kg snatched a bronze medal.
India sealed the championship title with 67 points and South Korea and Kazakhstan finished at second and third places respectively gaining 61 points each.
