Iranian taekwondokas win two gold medals at Universiade

Two Iranian taekwondokas claimed gold medals at the 2015 Gwangju Universiade on Saturday.

In the men's -74kg, Ahmad Khosrowfar defeated Tpram Claude Louis Maizeroi 8-7.
Germany’s Ewald Glesmann and Russian Said Ustaev won the bronze medal.

Akram Khodabandeh also beat Bichna Kim from South Korea 9-3 in the women's +73kg.

Bronze medal went to Russian Alina Ikaeva and Rosanna Simon Alamor from Spain.

It is the sixth gold medals won by Iranian university athletes. Team Iran took its first gold in women's shooting event, where Najmeh Khedmati won the 10-meter air rifle event.

Female shooter Mahlagha Jambozorg also claimed the gold medal of the 50m rifle prone.

Taekwondoka Armin Hadipour seized gold in the men's -54kg with victory over Belgium's Mourad Laachraoui.

Saeid Rajabi also won the gold medal in the taekwondo men’s -80kg.
