TEHRAN -- World-renowned Iranian filmmaker Abbas Kiarostami is scheduled to hold workshops at the EICTV – International School of Film and Television - in the Cuban town of San Antonio de los Baños in 2016.

The EICTV will organize the workshops from January 26 to February 5 with the help of Black Factory Cinema, a Spanish institute for cinema educational courses, the institute announced on its website.

“Black Factory Cinema is integrated into this process with the aim of stimulating the rising generation of directors and filmmakers from around the world in search of authentic narrative structures,” the institute said.

“That is why we produced the past workshops in Colombia in 2014 and in Barcelona in 2015,” it added.

The practical workshop will be held for 35 young international filmmakers, which will be selected by a committee composed of experts from Black Factory Cinema and the EICTV.
