Saeid Ahmadi from Iran claimed a gold medal at the World Karate Federation (WKF) Karate1 Premier League event in Paris, France.

Ahmadi defeated Lolita Dona of France 3-0 in the men’s under 67kg final match.

Japanese Hiroto Shinohara and Turkey’s Burak Uygur claimed the bronze medal.

In the men’s under 84kg final Zabiollah Pourshab of Iran lost to Japan’s Ryutaro Araga 1-0.

The bronze medal went to Turkey’s Gokhan Gunduz and Georgios Tzanos of Belgium.

More than 1000 athletes from 75 countries participated at the event.
