Iranian Trade Fair Opens in Qatar

ATHENS Qatari Minister of Economy, Finance and Trade, Yusuf Hussein Kamal, Tuesday opened the Fifth Iranian Trade Fair at the International Exhibition Center in Doha, international Arab daily Al-Sharq al-Awsat reported Wednesday. Tens of Iranian companies are exhibiting a variety of goods like heavy transport vehicles, oil and gas products, health and agricultural goods, handicrafts, carpets, clothes, wooden products, furniture, plastics, and ceramics.
The Qatari minister revealed that Iranian Energy Minister Habibollah Bitaraf will lead his country's delegation at the joint Iranian-Qatari Commission which is to meet on Saturday in Doha aimed at boosting economic ties between the two Muslim countries. Hussein Kamal said that the current Iranian fair has shown a big development in comparison with the past, pointing to the participation of a number of Iranian companies in the fields of energy, earthwork, water, medicine and health.
The minister added that some Iranian companies have already started marketing their products in Qatar and hoped that the Qatari private sector would cooperate with the Iranian firms in marketing their products for the sake of developing economic and trade links between the two states. About 65 Iranian industrial and commercial companies are taking part in the six-day fair. (IRNA)
