Nine Iranians face disciplinary action for doping

Seven Iranian athletes and two coaches faced disciplinary action for performance-enhancing drug use.

The seven athletes faced a four-year ban from sport while two coaches received a lifetime ban from the sport of athletics.

The name of Iranian athletes and coaches are as follow:

* Reyhaneh Khatooni (cyclist) – four years – for the banned substance clenbuterol
*Alireza Haghi (cyclist) – four years – for high levels of testosterone
*Saeid Nezamabad (handball player) – four years – for high levels of testosterone
*Amirhossein Mohammad Maleki (kabaddi player) – four years – for norandrosterone and hidroclorotiazida
*Ali Kiadaliri (weightlifter) – four years –  for the banned substance stanozolol
*Mehdi Nabiollahi (weightlifter) – four years – for the banned substance metandinon
*Mostafa Afzali (athletic) – four years – for the banned substance stanozolol
*Hamid Ebrahiminejad (athletic coach) – lifetime suspension
*Pouria Ahmadi (athletic coach) – lifetime suspensio
