“A Separation” star Peyman Moaadi to make “Bomb” in Iran

TEHRAN – Peyman Moaadi, the star of the Oscar-winning film “A Separation”, whose directorial debut “The Snow on the Pines” won popular acclaim in 2012, plans to make his second film “Bomb” in Iran.

Talking on Khandvaneh, a popular Iranian TV entertainment program, on Thursday night, Moaadi said “We are preparing to begin shooting ‘Bomb’ in a month.” 

“Everything is ready except for a portion of the necessary budget,” he added.

He gave no more details about the storyline of the film, in which he will co-star with Leila Hatami, another star of “A Separation” that its cast ensemble received Silver Bears for best actor and actress at the Berlin Film Festival in 2011.   

Moaadi’s “The Snow on the Pines” won the Crystal Simorgh for the Audience Favorite Film at the 30th Fajr International Film Festival in 2012.
