Juan Cichello’s boys defeated Australia 3-2(17-25, 18-25, 25-21, 25-19, 16-14) in the 5th–8th semifinals on Monday.

Iran have fielded a U23 squad in their final preparation for the next month’s FIVB Volleyball Men’s U23 World Championship in Cairo, Egypt.

The 2017 Asian Men's Volleyball Championship is the 19th edition of the Asian Men's Volleyball Championship, the biennial international men's volleyball championship of Asia organized by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC).

It is being held at the Tridharma Petrochemical Sports Stadium of Gresik, East Java, Indonesia from 24 July to 1 August 2017. It is the second time that the Indonesia hosts the tournament after the 2007 Asian Championship.
