TEHRAN – The hief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces has warned of the high costs of a military assault against Iran, saying an attack against the country is not plausible for the enemies.
Speaking during a meeting on Saturday to introduce the Army’s new chief Abdolrahim Mousavi, Major General Mohammad Hossein Baqeri said Iran’s enemies have come to the conclusion that a military attack against the country would result in a “humiliating defeat” and heavy losses for them.
“This is why the enemies have gone for proxy wars against Iran,” he added.
