TEHRAN – “Tant De Doute Pour Une Evidence”, a book written by Iranian scholar Mohammad-Ali Movahhed on the Persian Gulf, has recently been published in France, the London-based publisher Candle and Fog has announced.

“The book, which reviews the history of the Persian Gulf as well as international treaties between Iran and Britain, has been translated into French by Mithra Farzad, an Iranian scholar teaching at the University of Paris-Sud,” Candle and Fog director Afshin Shahnetabar told the Persian service of ISNA on Saturday.

The book has been published in collaboration with Iran’s Cultural Center in Paris and La Völva éditions, a publisher in the French city of Besancon.

They plan to introduce the book in a special session in Paris in the near future.

The original book was published by Karnameh Publication in Tehran in 2014.

Movahhed, 96, is a graduate of law and political science from the University of Tehran. He has carried out comprehensive studies on mysticism in Persian literature and Rumi’s mentor, Shams-i Tabrizi.
