Iranian footballer dies in landslide

TEHRAN – Former Nassaji Mazandaran midfielder Keyvan Vahdani died following injuries he suffered in a landslide in Mazandaran Province.

Vahdani, who was traveling from Tehran to Savadkuh on Wednesday, was killed after the rock dropped down from the mountain in Khatikooh.

Heavy rains have brought high flooding to several cities in Mazandaran Province in the past days.

Vahdani, 27, was a member of Nassaji and had also played at Saba, Paykan and Pars Jonoubi.
