Iranian films to compete in Ecozine

TEHRAN – A lineup of five Iranian movies will go on screen at the 12th Ecozine Film Festival, an international event dedicated to movies on the environment, which will open in Zaragoza, Spain on Friday.

“Karun”, a documentary by Mohammad Ehsani about the largest Iranian river, Karun, which is at risk of destruction due to climate change, water transfer plans and dumping sewage, is a highlight of the lineup.

Short animations “The Last Fish” by Seyyed Mahmud Saemin, “On the Cover” by Yeganeh Moqaddam and “The Last Eagle” by Reza Golchin and the short film “Fishnet and the Fish” by Ali Nikfar are also among the films. 

The festival will run until May 19.
