Upside-down tulips bring color to mountains

Clusters of Fritillaria, or upside-down tulips, have decorated mountains and rocky areas in the western province of Chaharmahal-Bakhtiari.

There are more than 170 species of tulips in the country. This unique bell-shaped flower has been inscribed on the national heritage list.
