TEHRAN- Deputy Commander of the Iranian Army’s Air Defense Force General Mohammad Yousefi Khoshqalb has said that a new UAV will be unveiled very soon.

Referring to the army's efforts and the deployment of the Karrar UAV equipped with the Majid missile on Sunday, the general reiterated, “We announce after each unveiling that this path continues.”

He reiterated, "Last year, in the field test of the Bavar-373 missile system, where we could target and shoot the hostile drone at a distance of 300 km, we announced that this path continues."

Iran unveiled Bavar-373 in August 2019. The long-range air defense system is capable of detecting up to 100 targets, tracking 60 of them, and engaging with six concurrently.

Pointing to the Army's recent drone exercise, he added, “In the Air Defense Force, we are working in various fields of reconnaissance and combat drones.”

“We have support drones, combat support, and combat operations drones. Soon, a new drone mission will be announced by senior military officials,” the general added.

In the end, he stated that Iran will enhance its UAV capabilities, saying Iran will unveil a new UAV in tactical, operational, and strategic domains.

Iran has achieved a pivotal milestone with the successful integration of home-grown Karrar drones, equipped with air-to-air Majid missiles, into its Army’s Air Defense Force.

The unveiling ceremony for these unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) took place at the Khatam Al-Anbia Air Defense Academy in Tehran on Sunday, attended by a distinguished group of military commanders and officials.
