TEHRAN A court has summoned the publisher of the Persian daily Hambastegi for interrogation.
The spokeswoman of the daily said yesterday that Gholam-Heidar Ebrahim-Bai Salami, the publisher of Hambastegi, had been told to appear before a Tehran court within three days to face initial questioning. She did not know what charges he faced.
The summons comes less than three months after the newspaper first went to press. Hambastegi is run by the Islamic Iran Solidarity Party, the second biggest reformist faction in Parliament.
