Grave of Four Unknown Pre-Revolution Martyrs Discovered in Piranshahr
He said the grave belonged to Ataollah Payab, born in 1945, son of Mohammad-Hassan; Majid Nouraei, born in 1929, son of Ghafour; Bahman Lahvani and Niaz Lahvani, born in 1929, sons of Hassan.
The four are buried at the foot of a mountain overlooking Jaldian Garrison, 15 kilometers from Piranshahr.
The four militant martyrs, all from Kermanshah, had been exiled and imprisoned in Jaldian Garrison on account of their political activities against the monarchical regime. Due to their continued activities, the four were subjected to the firing squad by SAVAK (the Shah's secret police) on the night of October 18, 1969, and their bodies buried secretly.
The Shah's secret police martyred many anti-monarchy figures. In one instance they had thrown the bodies of revolutionaries into the Salt Lake near the city of Qom.
