Nejad-Hosseinian, Iran's New Representative at UN

TEHRAN Mohammad Hadi Nejad-Hosseinian has been appointed as Iran's new ambassador and permanent representative to the United Nations in New York. President Mohammad Khatami made the appointment at the recommendation of the Foreign Minister Kamal Kharrazi. Nejad-Hosseinian had previously served as minister of road and transportation and of heavy industries as well as the engineering deputy oil minister before assuming the post of the ministry's deputy for international affairs.
