After Serena mauled sister Venus 6-4 6-3 Saturday to take her U.S. Open title and add it to her Wimbledon and French Open crowns, talk of a Williams "sister slam" was replaced by thoughts of a "Serena slam".

Having defeated her big sister in each of the last three Grand Slam finals, the Australian Open is the only prize missing from Serena's resume. said Reuters.

"It's a Serena slam," laughed Serena, after the two-set demolition of her sister. "I have to start over when I get in Australia.

"But I have that focus. When I'm in a Grand Slam at the end of the tournament I'm so mentally exhausted because I put so much mental work in it.

"As long as I'm physically ready and as long as I'm able to win the matches, I don't think I'd have any problems mentally.

"It's definitely something I'd work toward. "My goal now is to go down under, at least me or Venus to win this tournament. That's the only one that's been eluding us."
