The recent liberalized scene at Azadi is a purely good, smart anodyne
NORTH CAROLINA - Just to demonstrate how inaccurate and craven the U.S. mainstream media can be, one must note a late-night news broadcast this week about the further carnage in the Gaza arena. The talking head commented that the Zionists responded with massive bombing runs on Gaza because Hamas sent flying 300 or so (ineffective) “firecracker” rockets in to Israel, and now Israel may be preparing another invasion of what amounts to the largest open-air prison on earth – an amplified and defenseless Warsaw Ghetto redux.

The world prays for the wisdom and cool of Iranians
NORTH CAROLINA - An Iranian friend, a photographer known internationally for fine documentary work, asked plaintively last week when the U.S. might stop trying to sink Iran and Iranians. I had no ready answer, but the question was painful to hear because I could also hear concern, grief and empathy for others.

Ignorance is the bane of humanity
NORTH CAROLINA - U.S. citizens will likely not anytime soon hear the end of the horrible tale of the gunman who last week went into a Pittsburgh, Pa., synagogue and killed 11 Jews who were worshipping there.

A general overview of this era of discord
NORTH CAROLINA - Yes, it is obvious. Iran and a number of other countries would be far better off today, economically and thus socially, if the U.S. was not militarily attacking or threatening to attack someone, somewhere, and especially in the Middle East. It’s vital to know some facts about all this and try to analyze it and prognosticate what may or may not happen geopolitically, and the Tehran Times does as good a job of this as any newspaper I know.

Human pigs find pleasure in fights so avoid them when possible
NORTH CAROLINA - Oddly enough, but not surprisingly, I had a bit of an altercation this past week with one Josh Block on Twitter. I hurled a condemnation at a post of his, and he hurled one back at me and called me an “anti-Semite” and a bit more. To his invective, I did not respond, recalling British play writer George Bernard Shaw who wrote decades ago that tangling with pigs was bound to be unproductive and that pigs actually LIKE a fight, that fighting with them gives them pleasure.
