Ayatollah Kashani Meets Lebanese Religious Leaders

BEIRUT The visiting member of Iran's Council of Guardians, Ayatollah Mohammad Emami Kashani here Tuesday held separate meetings with leaders of Lebanese Muslim and Christian tribes. Peaceful coexistence of Muslims and Christians in different parts of the world featured prominently in the ayatollah's talks with Lebanese dignitaries. During his first day of stay, Ayatollah Kashani met with Archbishop Aram Keshishiyan, Allama Seyed Muhammad Hussein Fazlallah, Suleyman Katani, a Christian prominent writer and a leader of Maronite sect.
Ayatollah Kashani is also to meet the Speaker of Supreme Assembly of Lebanese Shias, Sheikh Mohammad Mahdi Shamseddin and a number of other Muslim and Christian religious leaders. (IRNA)
