TEHRAN (Mehr News Agency)— Mousa Ghorbani, member of the Majlis minority faction said here Sunday that political camps should interact lawfully while regarding the statements of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khamenei.

Ghorbani highlighted the Leader's remarks about the U.S. attempts to create cultural and political dissension among the Iranian people adding that internal powers within the government can make efforts to resist this plan.

"Political camps should give an end to their discrepancies and take the Leader's statements into serious consideration," he told the Mehr News Agency.

Ghorbani said that officials should attempt to carry out the Leader's statements actively.

The official highlighted the Leader's past remarks about the press adding that the government overlooked the issue and did not support it.

Ghorbani added that the U.S. has conceded that it supports Iranian newspapers.

He further pointed to the importance of the Leader's remarks adding that the government should seriously take them into account in order to pave the way for satisfying people's demands.

Further in his remarks, Ghorbani said that people have no problem with governmental officials stressing that it is the officials' duty to resolve their current disagreements.

He said that the officials play a significant role in boosting confidence among people in regard to the government and the press.

"Unfortunately the officials constantly show signs of hopelessness to people instead of extending optimistic views," the official said.

When asked why the anti-reformists group does not back down from certain issues, Ghorbani said that the group has no reason to do so stressing that it had much supported cases such as ministerial impeachments.

"The support we give to the reformists is more than they can achieve. Often it is the minority faction that solves the problem," he said.

Ghorbani said that the reformists use the Majlis as a base against certain organs of the government and called them to be more restraint.

The official added that the reformists want the Guardian Council to be disbanded adding that this is the exact intention of the United States.

"In any case, we must obey the law and solve current problems lawfully," he said in conclusion.
