TEHRAN -- Iranian author and university professor Naghmeh Samini recited some sections of her play "Horses of Heaven Rain Ash" in Germany at the Mulheim Theater Festival, which ran from May 13 to June 4.

Playwrights from 32 countries participating in the World Cup shared their thoughts and cultures with each other at the event, Samini told the Mehr News Agency on Wednesday.

She also recited part of Samuel Beckett’s “Endgame” in Farsi.

“We became familiar with other countries’ theater and playwriting during the amazing programs held at the event,” she added.

Samini is currently writing the plays “The World Stands Still”, “Without Saying Goodbye”, and “These Three Women”, which will be directed by Kiumars Moradi, Katayun Feiz Marandi, and Manijeh Hekmat respectively.

Her credits include “The Spell of the Burned Temple”, “Julius Caesar, Told by a Nightmare”, and “Secrets and Lies”.
