TEHRAN -- Foreign Ministry summoned the Argentine charge d'affaires to Tehran to protest the renewed baseless claims by Buenos Aires which accuse Iran of involvement in a 1994 AMIA bombing.
Argentine claims that Iranian officials had planned the 1994 bombing of the headquarters of the Jewish organization AMIA in Buenos Aires that killed 85 people.
Sobhani, the Foreign Ministry director for Americas Department, warned the Argentine officials not to be trapped in the Zionists’ plots and avoid making the previous mistakes.
He described the AMIA case as a Zionist scenario to tarnish the image of the Islamic Republic.
Iran reserves the right to take legal measures to counter the provocative acts of Aragonite’s judiciary system, he added.
