South Pars Phase 11 calls for best bidder

TEHRAN – Offshore and land bid papers on Phase 11 drilling and construction of the pipelines at South Pars Oil and Gas Fields were published and made available to the qualified bidders, a report released by the company’s Public Relations Office noted on Tuesday.

The call for tender is offered in EPC (engineering, procurement, construction) form and all the participants in offshore venture are composed of Iranian firms. In land installation sector, join consortiums of domestic, Italian, British and Korean companies will be bidding on the project and the winners are to be announced by the end of 2006, the report indicated.

Moreover, based on a measure introduced by Majlis and schemes adopted, over 51% of the equipment for the drilling will be built and supplied by the Iranian side.

The development plan at Phase 11 is expected to deliver total daily of 50 million cubic meters of sour gas as feedstock to the LNG (liquefied natural gas) unit at the site for annual production of 10 million tons of LNG.

The offshore installation of this plan will be implemented in the second site of Pars Special Economic Zone, the report read in conclusion.
