TEHRAN (ISNA) – All problems behind Paykan's production in Sudan have been resolved, an Iran Khodro official said.

Iranian car producer, Iran Khodro gave news that all Paykan production problems in Sudan had been solved and that the final contract would be signed between Iran and Sudan in the coming Presidential trip to that country.

Iran Khodro's project manager in Sudan also gave news that Sudan had asked for the production of Samand in that country.

"We have agreed with this request and Iran Khodro is to start the production of Samand in Sudan 5 years after the inauguration of Paykan's production in that country," said Amir Musavi.

"We also have agreed to design and build a national car for Sudan after 10 years of producing Paykans and Samands in that country," he added.

The complete Paykan production line was sold to Kenya in May 2005. The "New Paykan" that is currently being produced is the Iran Khodro Samand.
