TEHRAN (IRNA) -- President Mahmud Ahmadinejad Tuesday night expressed his felicitation to the Iranian athletes on their victories in the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.

In his message, Ahmadinejad thanked the disabled and war veterans for making the flag of Islamic Republic of Iran be hoisted in the international sports event.
He also appreciated the Iranian athletes' efforts to qualify for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games but could not receive any medal.
Iranian athletes won 14 medals, five gold, six silver and three bronze medals, in the 13th Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.
