“Lady with Flower Hair” to compete in Italian festival

TEHRAN – Iranian filmmaker Sara Tabibzadeh’s animated short film “Lady with Flower Hair” will go on screen at the 4th Visions Court Film Festival, which will be held at the historical Baronial Castle of Minto in southern Italy from October 6 to 10.

The movie tells the story of an exotic woman who lives in seclusion because of the flowers that grow on her head instead of hair.


Davud Azad to perform concert for prisoners

TEHRAN – Renowned Iranian vocalist Davud Azad is scheduled to perform selections from his album “Wine of Sincerity” for inmates at Isfahan’s Dastgerd Prison in early October.

Azad who can play a number of traditional Iranian musical instruments such as tar, setar, oud, rabab, daf and kamancheh has given over 300 concerts and solo performances around the world.
