TEHRAN -- President Mahmud Ahmadinejad issued a decree here on Saturday directing all government bodies to implement the treaty on legal cooperation in civil and criminal law cases and the extradition of criminals recently signed by Iran and Kyrgyzstan.

According to the treaty, nationals of each country have equal legal rights in both countries. The extradition provisions of the treaty state that each country is required to extradite suspects and individuals convicted of crimes in absentia. Furthermore, it was agreed that any disputes in extradition cases should be resolved through direct talks or diplomatic channels
