Iran: U.S. liable $245m over victims of chemical weapons

TEHRAN – Iran’s Judiciary spokesman has announced that an Iranian court has issued a decree which requires the U.S. administration to pay close to $245 million to the victims of chemical weapons supplied to former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein during his war against Iran in the 1980s.
“A number of people who have been harmed during the chemical bombing have filed lawsuits and a court has issued decrees for 18 of them who have been harmed or died” Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei said on Sunday, Fars reported.
