TEHRAN – Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in a decree on Saturday appointed Brigadier General Ahmadreza Pourdastan, the former deputy chief of the Army, as the head of the Army’s Strategic Studies.

“At the suggestion of the Army’s chief and due to your invaluable experience, I appoint you as the head of the Strategic Studies of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army,” the Leader said in the decree.

Ayatollah Khamenei also urged Pourdastan to boost the Army’s readiness and military might by using state-of-the-art methods.
