TEHRAN – Saudi Arabia has been trying to escape democracy by creating conflicts, namely supporting the Daesh (ISIL) terrorist group and attacking Yemen, Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Committee Chairman Heshmatollah Falahatpisheh said on Sunday.
Falahatpisheh also rejected claims that Iran was involved in a missile attack on the Saudi Dammam frigate off the western coast of Yemen, saying the Islamic Republic “has no missiles in the Bab el-Mandeb Strait and the Red Sea,” Mehr reported.
The lawmaker stressed that Iran’s goal is to bring stability and peace to the region.
