Iran 90% self-sufficient in manufacturing fuel station equipment

TEHRAN - Iran has achieved 90 percent self-sufficiency in manufacturing equipment for fuel stations, Shana reported on Saturday quoting head of planning and studies center for fuel stations.
According to Ali Monshi, Iran is capable of exporting such equipment to the neighboring countries.
The official noted that currently about 7,000 fuel stations are active across Iran which creates a vast market for their related industries.
He pointed to the potential for creating job opportunities through launching more filling stations in the country saying, “70 different jobs are related to filling stations”.
Elsewhere in his remark, Monshi noted that producing the necessary equipment for the fuel stations doesn’t require high technology which makes it an even more attractive area for investment.
“More than 75 percent of filling stations in the country need to be renovated, repaired or replaced,” he added.
