Iran FM holds talks with UAE and Turkish counterparts on regional issues
TEHRAN – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held talks late on Tuesday with his Emirati and Turkish counterparts about the recent unrest in Iran and regional developments.
In his talks with UAE Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Araghchi denounced provocative remarks against Iran by U.S. officials, calling them an open interference in Iran’s internal affairs.
The U.S. and the Zionist regime of Israel has been seeking to use the protests in Iran as a launchpad for regime change in Iran.
The protests in Iran first began peacefully in Tehran’s Bazaar in the last few days of the year 2025. But the protests, which were driven by economic grievances, were derailed as hooligans, Mossad agents and terrorists resorted to acts of sabotage and terrorism.
In his newest incendiary remarks on Tuesday, Trump said, “Iranian Patriots, KEEP PROTESTING — TAKE OVER YOUR INSTITUTIONS!!! … HELP IS ON ITS WAY.”
Araghchi told his Emirati counterpart that tranquility has been restored in streets in Tehran and other cities through the vigilance of the people and security forces’ response to agents backed by Israel and the U.S.
Iran’s chief diplomat insisted that Tehran is resolute to guard its national sovereignty and security in the face of any “evil act and foreign interference.”
For his part, Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed insisted on dialogue between Iran, the UAE and other regional countries to consolidate stability and security in the region.
