America is putting a brave face on defeat

February 9, 2026 - 22:7

LONDON - America is in the midst of a rampage, behaving like a bully unleashed upon a city—looting and destroying without restraint. It is driven by deep-seated fear and a systemic lack of security. The world’s bully wants to preserve an empire that can no longer be maintained, and no one restrains it, because excess power in the hands of the fearful can reach the height of foolishness. It is a case of fleeing forward as a result of a real crisis.

America’s debt is enormous, exceeding 32 trillion dollars. It is searching for heavy minerals and seeking control and dominance over energy sources and supply lines. This is its method of revealing the true face of arrogance known as colonialism, but this method is inadequate. China is growing commercially and militarily through the Silk Road. Russia is struggling to push back the Western assault from its backyard. Iran’s power continues to grow, unconcerned with restrictions and sanctions.

The United States appears preoccupied with identifying external adversaries, yet these efforts often result in domestic setbacks. Currently, the nation seems unable to address its internal deficiencies or maintain parity with global advancements. America’s forward charge is less a sign of strength and more a final escape from its own decline. We must distinguish between a power that rises in the face of pressure and a failing one that lashes out with brutal, senseless force. It is the difference between an organism withered by sickness, acting without awareness, and a healthy body that is simply being held back.

And when Israel and its Prime Minister say the regime is unprepared to repel strikes, this means it is afraid, anxious, and helpless, and so is its American master. This is psychological warfare: “We came, we withdrew, withdraw, we will strike, we will negotiate,” and so on. It is psychological warfare to extract concessions under maximum threat, to obtain what cannot be obtained through war.

It is psychological warfare to encourage internal agents to move and to bet on the collapse of the nation. If Trump is quick to withdraw and change his views, then there is no harm in dressing defeat in the clothes of victory. Did that not happen in the 12-day war against Iran in June 2025? Did it not happen in his war on Yemen? And since he is the sole decision-maker in America, this contributes to a breakdown in American credibility and a breakdown in its tools and striking assets.

This is what leads to an acceleration of the collapse of the American empire. When the U.S. Secretary of State speaks of a “weak Iran,” Iran represents a fundamental problem for him in the region. It is a deep-rooted, long-term problem for Western interests in the most important region controlling energy resources.

Trump’s interests there remain threatened, as he senses danger from Iran’s capabilities. He measures Iran based on the standards of other countries. The massive penetration by agents inside Iran, combined with the degree of siege and poverty, leads him to assume that the Iranian nation will rise against the state. But he does not realize that in such a situation, the nation will rally behind its leadership.

If American failure results from this course, it will be a resounding failure and the beginning of defeat for the American empire. Here, defeat has consequences, and defeats will follow in other places, because once it is defeated in one place and loses its prestige, it will be defeated elsewhere.
