TEHRAN – Cama Gallery in Tehran has been damaged in the attacks by the U.S. and the Zionist regime.

Following the aggression on Tuesday night, the Visual Arts Office of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance issued a statement, Honaronline reported.

The text of this message is as follows:

“In the first nights of the luminous month of Ramadan, the fire of war was once again ignited; an imposed and unequal war that this time targeted not just the land, but the soul of the city”.

“Amidst the sirens and smoke, the cultural heart of Tehran was targeted by the enemies of the nation. Cama Gallery, one of the familiar and beloved names in Iranian visual arts, became the target of the Zionist regime's missiles. A place that was a space for art to breathe, a place whose walls held the memories of thousands of artworks, is now wounded and silent”.

“The Visual Arts Office of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, with a heart full of sorrow, offers its condolences for this tragedy to the esteemed family of Cama Gallery, to the artists for whom this space was a second home, and to all those involved in the culture and art of Iran.”

“We know well that a wound on the body of an art gallery is not just a wound on brick and stone; it is a wound on the visual memory of a nation”.

Artistic spaces in a city are like its vital arteries, where the blood of creativity flows. The destruction of these spaces is the destruction of opportunities for dialogue. This injury can never be repaired by rebuilding walls, because the memories and works that could have been created within those walls have been taken from us forever”.

“In these nights of, when the artists of this land look to the sky and pray for peace and tranquility, vile hands have targeted the light. But Iranian art has always proven that even in the darkest nights, it preserves a spark of light within itself”.

“We call on all artists to turn these nights into an opportunity for empathy. Let your sorrow be cried out not in anger, but in the creation of beauty. Let the world know that bullets can destroy walls, but never the spirit of the Iranian artist”.

The Visual Arts Office, in unison with all Iranian people, considers this loss irreparable and is determined to stand with all its might alongside the artistic community, for the reconstruction and healing of this deep wound”.

“The month of Ramadan is a month of hope; we hope that peace and tranquility will soon cast their shadow over the sky of art and the land of this nation”.

The U.S. and Israel attacked Iran two weeks ago and have so far martyred over 1,000 people including the Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei and several military commanders as well as civilians, among them women and children.

Iran and the U.S. had agreed to attend a fourth round of nuclear talks in Vienna this week, following their most serious discussions in Geneva. However, the U.S. derailed diplomatic negotiations with Iran just like the previous time in June 2025, launching a bombing campaign against Iran in conjunction with Israel.

The attacks prompted a swift response from the Islamic Revolution Guard Corps (IRGC), with missile and drone launches targeting Israel and several U.S. bases in the region, occurring less than two hours after the strikes, which have been intensified in recent days.
