TEHRAN Malaysian police arrested a robber who had resorted to burglary to earn enough money to support his two wives and a drug habit, a news report said on Wednesday, DPA reported from Kuala Lumpur.

The 39-year-old man was arrested early Tuesday morning after a police patrol spotted him lurking suspiciously near a housing area in Kuala Lumpur.

The unnamed man tried to run away but was caught.

"We found a woman's handbag containing money, a cell phone and a watch on him," Gombak district Police Chief Massari Hashim was quoted as saying by the Sun daily.
