TEHRAN -- Shares of 22 companies dropped and those of 16 others rose in yesterday's trading in Tehran stock exchange.

Nearly two million shares, worth about Rls. 5.691 billion, were traded. Although trading has been very slow at the exchange because of the new year holidays, Iran Stock Exchange has yet to find its real place in the Iranian economy and become more active in financial markets worldwide.
