TEHRAN -- The Iranian journalist, Siamak Pourzand, on trial for acting against state security has admitted collaborating with "counterrevolutionaries and monarchists" living abroad, the government daily **** Iran **** reported Tuesday.

Pourzand, accused of "acting against the security of the state," was appearing Monday in the trial's second hearing, the newspaper said.

He admitted having had "direct and indirect links" with monarchists abroad, including "relations with the entourage" of Reza Pahlevi, son of the Shah.
