MP Amrollah Mousavi of Khomein said the insults of Hashem Aghajari to religious sanctities and dignitaries is indefensible.

In a pre-debate speech, Mousavi called on all who are using the opportunity to voice their own political views under the pretext of supporting Aghajari to review his remarks to see if his insults to religious dignitaries and sanctities can ever be defended.

"I wish all those who pretend to advocate freedom of expression and criticize the Judiciary's ruling against Aghajari would at least comment on their own views about those remarks to see if they at all are fair toward the issue," he said.
