TEHRAN (Mehr News Agency) –- The director of the Iran Touring and Tourism Organization (ITTO) has announced that Iran is planning to promote its tourist attractions on international TV networks in order to attract more tourists to the country.

“We are planning to publicize Iran’s participation in the International Tourism Borse (ITB) 2004 in Berlin, the world's largest tourism trade fair, on the news channels CNN, BBC, and Al-Jazeera,” added Mohammad-Taha Abd-e Khodaei.

He went on to say that a large budget will be allocated for advertisements on TV networks and in the press.

“Publicity is of great importance in the world, and through the experience we gained on World Tourism Day, we have decided to become more active in the world like Malaysia, India, and Egypt.

“We do not only think of participating in European fairs, but we also intend to actively participate in regional and continental fairs and seek countries to exchange tourists with,” he said.

He also asked the Tourist Agency Association to establish an institution for comprehensive planning and announced that a House of Iran will be established in France, Germany, and Britain to promote tourism in the near future.
