TEHRAN (Mehr News Agency) -- Director Abdolhossein Barzideh is convinced that the Qur’anic ideas and stories are the main source of inspiration for filmmakers, and that exploitation of these ideas can help promote spirituality in the society. On the occasion of the “’Qur’anic Concepts’ Film and Photography Competition,” he added, “God talks to people through stories in the Holy Qur’an, and proper use of the Qur’anic concepts in films and TV series can help familiarize people with religious concepts.”

The competition is to be held on the side section of the 11th Qur’an International Exhibition currently underway in Tehran on Hejab St.

The jury board includes Barzideh, Majid Majidi, Mahmoud Arjomand, Reza Mirkarimi and Mojtaba Raei.
