TEHRAN (Fars News Agency) -- Iranian Parliament Speaker Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel said that solidarity and unity of the Lebanese nation and government in difficult days as well as resistance and dedication of the faithful Lebanese youth have been the secret to Lebanon's victory against Israel.

Speaking with his Lebanese counterpart on the phone, Haddad Adel described resistance and victory of the Lebanese nation against the all-out offensive of the Zionist regime as a turning point in the history of Muslim and Arab struggles against Israel.

"The Zionist regime was obliged to withdraw from the Lebanese territories without achieving its goals and while it was deeply humiliated," he stated.

Also noting the sensitivity of the incoming conditions and the efforts enemies of the Lebanese make to undermine the national unity and solidarity of that nation, he expressed hope that the Lebanese forces would reinvigorate their solidarity and pave the required grounds for reconstructing their country and making up for the damages in a bid to soothe their nation.

For his part, Speaker of Lebanon's House of Representatives Nabih Berri briefed his Iranian counterpart about the latest developments in the Lebanon and Middle-East crisis and further praised the spiritual supports and brotherly feelings of the Iranian nation and government for the popular resistance and struggle of the Lebanese nation against the brutal and barbaric invasion of the Zionist regime.

To conclude his remarks, Nabih Berri assured that the recent and current developments are just an opening for the Lebanese' permanent national unity and solidarity.
