TEHRAN – Iran’s youth judo team will leave for Germany Wednesday to participate in an international judo tournament and a joint training camp.

The five-strong side is schedule to compete Saturday and Sunday and later attend a three-day camp with some European teams.

Elyas Akbari, Hamid Qasseminejad, Iraj Amirkhani, Ali Mohammadnia, and Ali Malekipur will represent Iran in the -60, -72, -81, -90, and -100kg categories respectively.

Of five, the top judokas are picked for the world meet in the Dominican Republic.

Trainer Ata Abbasnejad and head Alireza Amini will accompany the team.
