Saipa to cut production of Pride
Pride, which has the highest production record in Saipa, has currently an annual production record of 400,000.
"At the end of this Iranian year (March 20, 2007), we will offer the new Pride model to the market and gradually through entering the Renault Logan and the S81, we plan to reduce the production of Pride to annually 150,000 by 2011," said Saipa managing director.
Ahmad Ghalebani regarding the New Pride model explained that this vehicle has a completely new look in comparison to the old model and possesses a modified engine.
"We have also started to make models and samples of the S81 and the Saipa management board has agreed on its production. We plan to offer this vehicle to the market in two years," he said.
He also noted that this company has talked to Renault regarding the production of another model on Logan's production line.
