TEHRAN Interior Minister Abdolvahed Mousavi Lari Sunday appointed his deputy for political and social affairs Mostafa Tajzadeh, as head of the State Elections Headquarters. According to Lari's decree, Tajzadeh is authorized to sign all circulars related to the upcoming third Experts Assembly elections slated for October 23 to elect 86 deputies. The interior minister called on governors general and all organizations and units affiliated to the ministry to fully cooperate with Tajzadeh to ensure an orderly election.

Candidates intending to run in the elections are required to refer to the Governor's Office of their constituency or the ministry between August 28-September 3 to register their names. (IRNA)
