TEHRAN – Justice Minister Gholam-Hossein Elham on Friday wrote to his Dutch counterpart Ernst Hirsch Ballin to protest against the production of a sacrilegious movie about the holy Qoran in the Netherlands.

He urged Hirsch Ballin to prevent the “evil and provocative” act of producing movies meant to insult religious values according to the European Convention on Human Rights.
“High religious values should not be allowed to be insulted under the pretext of freedom of speech which is a recognized right and accepted by all of us.”
He called the movie an “insult to the holiest of Islamic holies” which has violated the rights of all Muslims around the world
